A Legacy Born in Mumbai, 1974
Vetra began in a small jewellery workshop in South Mumbai in 1974. Our founder, a master craftsman, believed in one simple truth: jewellery should be beautiful, lasting, and within reach of everyone — not just the privileged few.
For decades, that workshop crafted pieces for families across the city. Rings passed down through generations. Necklaces worn to first dates, first jobs, and last goodbyes. Every piece carried a story.
Today, Vetra carries that same legacy forward — combining 50+ years of craftsmanship with modern minimal design and anti-tarnish technology. We ship across India and the world, but the heart of every piece remains that same workshop spirit from Mumbai.

1974
The Workshop Opens
Our founder opens a small silver crafting workshop in South Mumbai. The first Vetra piece — a simple silver chain — is sold to a family in Colaba.
1985
The First Collection
A curated collection of 12 sterling silver pieces launches. Local boutiques in Mumbai and Pune begin stocking Vetra jewellery.
1998
The Second Generation
The craft is passed to the next generation. New designs emerge — inspired by modern India, rooted in traditional silver techniques and hallmarking standards.
2015
Anti-Tarnish Technology
